A stylish, modern apartment in the quiet of Pedra Grande
Villa Santa Maria sits within Quinta do Paraiso, a mature, well-tended residential resort just a short walk from the centre of Carvoeiro village. Guests have access to the resort's wider facilities; three communal pools, tennis courts, a Kiddiclub, restaurants, bars and a mini-supermarket, while still enjoying the privacy of their own villa, garden and pool.
The villa sleeps up to 6 in three double bedrooms.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
There are three double bedrooms — two with en suite bathrooms — plus a guest bathroom that serves the third. All rooms are air conditioned for warmer months.
Living Space
A spacious lounge with comfortable seating opens through to the dining room, which in turn leads via patio doors to the al fresco dining area on the patio. The modern kitchen is fitted with Bosch appliances and a large American-style double fridge with ice and chilled water dispenser. A fully equipped utility room sits off the kitchen, leading to a small drying courtyard. The villa is also fitted with an active water softener.
For winter stays, a log burner in the lounge keeps the room warm and welcoming. There is a flat-screen TV with UK channels and a DVD player, and free Wi-Fi is included throughout.
Pool, Gardens & Roof Terrace
The 10 × 5 metre pool has gentle Roman steps at the shallow end (approx. 0.8 m), descending to 2.10 m at the deep end. Pool heating is available on request at extra cost. The pool terrace is set up with ample sun beds and parasols, with a separate seating area of table and chairs nearby.
The mature gardens are meticulously kept, with established planting that gives the villa privacy on every side. There is a generous BBQ area with its own fridge and water supply, and lawned space around the pool.
A flight of stairs at the front of the villa leads to the roof terrace, where further sun beds make the most of fantastic 360° views over the coastline and surrounding countryside.
It is fully licensed under the Alojamento Local (AL) scheme, registration no 4691/AL.

The villa is set within Quinta do Paraiso, within walking distance of Carvoeiro village.
The Trattoria Oliveira sits within the resort itself (approx. 5 minutes' walk), with a further 2 or 3 restaurants 5 to 10 minutes beyond.
Once a fishing village, Carvoeiro has grown into a thriving holiday resort while keeping much of its old-town charm, whitewashed houses, painted boats, and a clifftop walk that traces the coast east toward the Algar Seco rock formations.
Several more beaches sit within a 15-minute drive, including Praia da Marinha and the famous Benagil sea cave.
Around 10 minutes by car you'll find three championship 18-hole golf courses, Slide & Splash water park, and the daily market town of Lagoa.
A little further (around 20 minutes) is Zoomarine, where the children can swim with dolphins.
