Benagil is a small, picturesque fishing village a short drive east of Carvoeiro, best known for the famous Benagil sea cave just offshore.
The beach and several restaurants are a few minutes' walk from the villa, and the centre of Carvoeiro is around 10 minutes' drive.
Once a fishing village, Carvoeiro has grown into a thriving holiday resort while keeping much of its old-town charm, whitewashed houses, painted boats, and a clifftop walk that traces the coast east toward the Algar Seco rock formations.
Several more beaches sit within a 15-minute drive, including Praia da Marinha and the famous Benagil sea cave.
Around 10 minutes by car you'll find three championship 18-hole golf courses, Slide & Splash water park, and the daily market town of Lagoa.
A little further (around 20 minutes) is Zoomarine, where the children can swim with dolphins.
